Research Ethics Training

We offer training in research ethics that covers the federal regulations. Plus, we provide training on the expanded protections for American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) participants in research, and their communities. We also offer a customized training that covers specific Tribal and state regulations and Indigenous data sovereignty principles, tailored to our clients’ needs.

Who should take this training?

  • Anyone who is planning or currently doing research with AIAN communities.

  • Tribal committees, boards, and leaders with the authority to review and approve research conducted with AIAN communities.

  • Non-Tribal IRBs seeking to increase their knowledge of Indigenous research ethics and data sovereignty in order to integrate these principles into research approvals.
