Indigenous Evaluation: Holistic Framework
Our Indigenous evaluation framework is holistic and organic. The turtle swimming represents the evaluation, the people involved, the community, and stakeholders. The water represents the broader socio-political, historical, and legal context in which the evaluation takes place. Starting in the center and working outward, the interacting phases of the evaluation form a cyclical pattern which depicts a dynamic, inclusive, and life-affirming evaluation process. Phases of the evaluation in the center are organically interrelated—identifying community need, design, implementing, studying, and remaking.
